Problem Note 51261: SAS® DS2 Activities and models run slowly or consume unexpected amounts of memory when executed on older versions of Dataflux® Federation Server
SAS® Real-Time Decision Manager enables you to create scoring models and custom activities using SAS DS2. When you execute a decision campaign, this DS2 code runs in the SAS® Federation Server (formerly the DataFlux Federation Server). However, if you use an older version of the SAS Federation Server, then you might experience slow performance or unexpectedly high memory consumption. This problem occurs most often when you execute a large number of campaigns at the same time.
In order to work around this problem, upgrade your DataFlux Federation Server 3.1 or 3.1.1 to SAS Federation Server 3.2.
There is new functionality included in SAS Federation Server in addition to the improvements in speed and stability. This new functionality includes an in-memory cache and expanded SQL functionality. For more information about these improvements, see the section on SAS Federation Server 3.2 in What's New in SAS 9.4.
